Answers to your questions:
Who is Danny and what is Barren Business Development's mission?
Former financial services industry analyst, now full-time Agentic AI developer and growth consultant. After years of watching skilled tradespeople, contractors, and small-business owners drown in spreadsheets, invoices, vendor contracts, compliance paperwork, and repetitive admin, I built Barren Business Development to change that.
Our entire focus is simple: deliver powerful, custom automations that wipe out the bureaucratic nonsense so you can stay in the field, in the shop, or with your customers — doing what you signed up for.
What is your corporate-world experience?
I have previously worked on managing vendor contracts, negotiating vendor terms, and overseeing large contract databases. Previously, I built automated performance reports using Alteryx, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint; streamlined workflows across Ariba, SAP, Concur, and supplier management systems; and resolved payment, contract, and purchase-order issues between executives and vendors.
All of that hands-on experience handling thousands of agreements, massive datasets, and complex vendor relationships taught me exactly where the biggest time-and-money leaks happen in the back office — and how to close them permanently with automation.
How did I become an expert in Agentic AI and custom business automations?
Since 2025 I’ve run my own practice as an Independent Agentic AI Developer & Growth Consultant. I design, build, and deploy full-stack Agentic AI platforms using CrewAI, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Groq, Llama), Python, and custom data-engineering workflows. These autonomous multi-agent systems completely take over entire departments — invoice reconciliation, contract review, market/competitor research, report generation, data analytics pipelines, and more.
I also chain everything together with user-friendly interfaces so non-technical teams can actually use them. I’ve already reduced 16-hour manual processes to under one minute and replaced whole teams of repetitive admin work with intelligent automation.
What formal education and technical training backs this up?
- CompTIA Security+ (Sec+) — Industry-recognized certification validating core cybersecurity skills, including network security, compliance, threat detection, risk management, and secure systems architecture. This directly strengthens the security and reliability of every automation I build for trades and SMBs.
- Caltech Certification in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (2025) — hands-on training in Python, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, neural networks, computer vision, and production-grade model deployment.
- Wittenberg University — Bachelor’s degree with concentrations in Russian Language, Religious Studies, and Geopolitics (plus varsity college football). The analytical rigor, research skills, and ability to operate across cultures and complex systems directly translate to the strategic thinking I bring to every client automation project.
I combine the academic depth with real-world military and corporate execution — plus industry-standard cybersecurity credentials — creating the perfect mix for building automations that are cutting-edge, battle-tested, and secure.
What are the biggest wins that prove I can deliver for trades and SMBs?
- Built production-grade neural networks and AI/ML models for predictive analytics, object detection, large-scale data anonymization, and big-data processing.
- Created automated workflows (Python + Alteryx) that slashed 16-hour manual processes to under one minute.
- Designed and deployed custom Agentic AI platforms that run entire back-office departments autonomously for business clients.
These aren’t theoretical demos — they are live systems that are actively freeing up owners and operators to focus on revenue-generating trade work instead of admin drudgery.
How does all of this directly benefit the trades, contractors, and small businesses I serve?
Every single line on my resume and every hour I’ve spent in uniform, in corporate finance, and in AI development has led to one outcome: I know exactly how painful back-office admin is for the people who actually do the real work.
At Barren Business Development I don’t sell “tech for tech’s sake.” I build targeted automations that eliminate the paperwork, the vendor chasing, the reporting, the compliance headaches — everything that keeps skilled tradespeople and business owners chained to their desks instead of out doing what they do best.
If you’re tired of wasting nights and weekends on admin that should be automated, let’s talk. That’s exactly why I started this company.
